About

Arkal Automotive was founded in 1997 with the vision of leveraging Arkal’s huge expertise in sophisticated thermoplastic parts manufacturing to advance the possibilities of lightweight automotive parts design for the global vehicle industry.

Today the company offers its OEMs and Tier 1 customers such as Daimler, General Motors, Volkswagen-Audi and BMW an extensive off-the-shelf range of lightweight automotive solutions , as well as fully bespoke solutions, based on innovative use of sophisticated development tools for product design, cost effective/density effective materials, and the innovative combination of composite materials with injection molding.
Arkal’s unique one-stop ‘design-to-manufacturing’ approach enables its automotive customers to benefit from optimally cost-effective solutions by integrating Smart Product Design, Efficient Process Design and Automated Production under one roof – enabling our clients to meet and exceed aggressive targets for weight reduction, safety performance and cost reduction.

Over the last 20 years, Arkal has significantly grown its global footprint, and today the company operates 8 state-of-the-art production sites in North America, China and Europe. In honor of the memory of our true friend and mentor Amitai Ben Horin 1961-2022

Amitai grew up and was educated at Arkal Plastic products from an early age.
Amitai had over 35 years of experience in injection molding and plastic parts development. He started to work at Arkal back in the early 80’s as a manufacturing worker and over the years he moved up the chain to become the VP of Engineering and R&D.
Amitai had the vision and initiative to acquire the knowledge of strengthen plastic parts by adding glass fibers, which led Arkal to develop composite parts and make the first steps into the automotive industry and to become a global company that develop and produce parts to the automotive industry.
Amitai's legacy will be with Arkal Automotive, a global manufacturing company, forever.

Ephie Koltin

CEO

Ephie joined Arkal Automotive in November 2017 and has over 30 years of experience in global industrial companies at various fields. Ephie's previous executive roles were with Fortissimo Private Equity, managing the turnaround of several portfolio companies, and as the COO & VP of Business development at TowerJazz Semiconductor. Ephie brings to Arkal Automotive significant management experience in companies with unique situations, global operations, joint ventures and M&A. Ephie is a graduate of HARVARD's AMP program, hold an M.Sc. on Material science and a B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technologies (Technion).

Shahar Kremer

VP Processes & Methodologies

Shahar has over 30 years of experience at quality management roles in the automotive industry, has been leading and managing quality excellence at all areas and implemented his expertise in Arkal's quality processes. Has great practice and is well familiar with the OEM's specific requirements and expectations, strict regulations and zero tolerance for errors. Shahar holds a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering, Certify Quality Engineer (CQE), has a lead quality auditor certifications (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3). Shahar's motto is: Quality. Excellence. Commitment. Integrity. Success.

Orly Zohar Avitan

VP Global Human Resources

Orly brings more than 20 years of experience in various managerial roles in the Human Resources area both local and global in companies such as USR, MIS, and also as a freelance consultant in HR. Mrs. Avitan has a BA in Education and Literature from Haifa University and is also certified as Organizational Consultant and Group Facilitator. Over the years in HR, I realized that every success is ultimately a function of relationships. That’s the reason I believe in transparent communication also in facilitating a synergetic environment that integrates managers, employees, vendors, customers, and business goals. My guideline in life is: allow yourself to shine and also be vulnerable, this testifies your leadership and courage.

Sima Mor

VP Global Finance & Information Systems

Sima joined Arkal in 2021, has over 20 years of experience in finance at industrial and global companies. Sima holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics from Haifa University. Sima's moto is: life is all about the people in it. If you have the right people around you, human, moral, communicative and hardworking - all the ways, moments and goals will lead to personal and professional successes.

Sarit Moran

VP Global Supply Chain

Sarit joined Arkal Automotive on November 2022 Has over 20 years of experience in Purchasing & Supply chain, in industrial companies such as Baccara Geva, as well as Global semi conductor & Medical companies as KLA-tencor, Camtek and GE Healthcare. Sarit brings to Arkal Automotive significant management experience, with professional conflict resolutions capabilities. Sarit Holds Executive MBA from Haifa university. In her role, Sarit is responsible for the overall activities of the Supply Chain and Purchasing of Arkal group.

Ronnie Huske

Vice President Marketing and Sales

Ronnie joined Arkal in July 2021. He has 20+ years of experience in the global Automotive Industry and holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Appplied Sience in Trier Germany. In his previous assignments he was in charge of Management positions in Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, Marketing and Sales. Due to the transition of the Automotive industry his focus in the last years was on Turnaround-, Change management and M&A activities. With his strong technical background and his intercultural experience, Ronnie will drive the future growth of ARKAL globally. ____________________________________________ Ronnie's Motto: “Do it with passion or not do it at all!”

Hanan Rahamim

VP Quality and R&D

Hanan has over 10 years of experience in quality management roles in the automotive industry. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as certifications as a quality auditor (IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3). With extensive experience in the automotive industry, Hanan is well acquainted with the specific requirements and expectations of automotive OEM's. His professional experience includes well versed in leading APQP activities in order to meet industry standards during the design, testing, industrialization and serial production. Hanan developed his expertise at Arkal in a variety of disciplines, and over the years was promoted to managerial roles in quality and engineering, including the position of Arkal USA Quality Manager, and later acted as the Group Strategic Project Manager. Hanan has been Arkal Quality VP since July 2022, overseeing the global quality management system (QMS), supplier quality, materials and quality engineering.

Roie Shitrit

VP Engineering

Roie brings over 13 years of automotive industry expertise to his role as VP of Engineering. His career began in 2010 at IMC Casting, where he served as a Mold Designer and Project Manager, overseeing the automotive sector. In 2013, Roie joined Arkal Automotive as a Project Manager. He then progressed to the position of Automation Team Leader in July 2018. In March 2023, Roie's responsibilities expanded to include leading the Molds & Tooling department. As of August 2024, Roie has been serving as VP of Engineering, overseeing Automation, Product Design, Molds, Gauges and Fixtures, Process, and Engineering Knowledge departments. Roie holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. His comprehensive understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and his innovative approach drive our company's technological advancements.
